I generally had very busy mornings throughout the four weeks [of the workshop], but going to the Music for Health and Healing class really made that stress seem unimportant. I would always leave feeling happy and joyful, and that feeling lasted throughout the rest of the day and sometimes for a few days after.

We are absolutely ecstatic with what Meghan is accomplishing with our folks in our Day Treatment Center!  She’s got clients that we can’t typically motivate to do much at all having fun and getting engaged.  Meghan is a real asset to our program.

Arizona Nurses Association Symposium Participant.

My son was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome 3 and a half years ago. I proactively set him up with all the services that were available to us. He started music therapy about a year later. Music has always reached him and soothes his soul.

He has gained so much from working with Meghan. He has learned about his own body through music, about turn taking, about speaking respectfully and also how to play chords on the guitar. Music therapy has been the most valuable therapy that we have received.

Music in itself is wonderful but Meghan brings it to him in a way that he has learned self confidence and about being respectful to himself and others. My son previously had many behavior problems in school. He is now in the 4th grade and is one of the most well behaved children in his class. Music therapy with Meghan has truly been a blessing in our life.
